THE PROCESS
The design process can be overwhelming, so I take my role in this journey as seriously as my creative vision. No matter your stage in life or the size of your project, I am committed to guiding you through the process with confidence and understanding. My job is to make you excited and feel at ease every step of the way, whether it’s a full scale remodel or a simple makeover. I work on both residential and commercial projects ranging from small kitchen remodels to large-scale new construction and renovations.
I have a proven portfolio of relationships and projects that showcase my ability to not only create beautiful spaces, but work seamlessly with architects, builders and tradespeople. From selecting architectural details and finishes, to designing a functional, beautiful space with furniture, fabrics and decor, I am here to bring your dream to life.
INTRODUCTION
I will meet you at your home, or space or via phone/video conference (if you’re remote) to discuss the details of your design needs and determine how I can help bring your vision to life. Detailed dimensions and photos of the existing space will be taken or should be provided if remote.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Based on the information gathered, including inspiration of the design direction you’d like to go in I will begin the design process and design schemes will be developed.
DETAILS & SPECIFICATIONS
Once a design concept is approved, I detail out the design. This includes specification of decorative materials and selecting the actual items that bring the approved design to life. This could include sourcing and purchasing fixtures, flooring, paint, furniture, lighting, window treatments, appliances, etc. Upon the completion of this phase of work, I prepare detailed finish plans and specification packages that can be coordinated with the Architects construction documents (if one is involved) and used for contracting bidding.
BIDDING & CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
To ensure that the design is executed as intended, I work closely with the contractors and architects on the project to ensure they have all the information necessary to begin construction.
IMPLEMENTATION & INSTALLATION
After the construction is complete, the furniture delivery is coordinated and all decorative elements are incorporated into the space. All decorative light fixtures, and window treatments are installed and a final punch list is prepared.
